Home Builders Bulletin

Happy Friday!  Our Harley-Davidson raffle drawing was last Friday.  Unfortunately we only had 839 tickets sold so the raffle reverted to a 50/50.  The first place winners are Ron & Joanne Michalik of Romulus, Michigan.  Joanne’s mother lives locally and purchased the ticket for them without their knowledge.  Upon calling them on Friday evening to tell them they won $8,390 in the drawing we discovered that it was their wedding anniversary.  They plan on using the money to put siding on their house.  2nd place went to Brent McCoy of Reynoldsburg, OH and 3rd place to Bill Wallace of Granger, IN.  Congratulations to all the winners!

  • I would like to thank everyone who donated items to our Surplus Sale.  I would also like to thank those of you who volunteered to work the sale.  The association could have done this without you.

  • The Parade of Homes is coming together nicely.  We have added a couple categories to the Parade of Homes sponsorship opportunities so please let me know if you are interested

  • The roof needs to be repaired. (The supplies to repair have already been donated).
  • I am looking for the mailing lists for the Niles & Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.  If anyone has access to this information, please let me know.  We would like to include them in the mailings for the Parade of Homes Business after Hours
    •

  • The Indiana Renewable Energy Association has extended an invitation to our members to attend an open house on Saturday June 14, from 9:30-11:30 am at the newly completed First Federal Savings Bank, located at 920 W. Edison Road, Mishawaka.  This would be an excellent opportunity to learn more about incorporating “green” elements in building projects here in Michiana

  • The Community Partnerships committee has volunteered for a project and we need your help.  We have been contacted by Gateway to set up a playground that will be used in rehabilitation for children.  Charlie Sample is the chairman of the Community Partnerships committee and he is looking for volunteers to help this weekend and next.  For more information, or to volunteer, call Charlie at 269-876-7887
