Unfortunately I have some sad news to share this week. The brother of our Past President, Corey Busch, passed away on Tuesday morning after a long illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time.

* Tomorrow is the big day! Our Texas Hold’em Tournament is finally here! There is still room so we hope to see you there! You can either pre-register or show up. Spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis to anyone who has not pre-registered.
* Next month’s general membership meeting will be a networking night. Make a Date with a Builder. I have several builders signed up and willing to sit down and meet the associate members.
* Thank you to the members who are already signing up for our networking night next month! This event will be a success because of members like you!
* The MAHB will be holding a series of regional meetings. Our regional meeting is scheduled for February 4, 2008 at the Kalamazoo HBA. Area legislators have been invited to also attend these meetings. The SWMHBA would like its voice to be heard so we need to have a strong presence at this meeting. Please contact me for more information.
* Some of you have been receiving electronic newsletters from the State & National associations. Your login information is your email address and the password is your NAHB pin.
* There are still tickets available for the 2008 Harley Davidson. Visit www.swmhba.com to purchase tickets online, or call the SWMHBA office.
