Happy Friday! It has beena quite week here at the SWMHBA office. It feels strange to be writing 2008 on everything!
- The Parade of Homes kick off night is January 17th at the St. Joe Elks Club. Table tops are still available for associate members who would like to be present.
- The Texas Hold’em Tournament is fast approaching! There is still space available, so get your reservation in before it’s too late! For those of you planning to be there, please pre-register so we have a somewhat accurate count. Call the office and Becky or I will be happy to write you in.
- Our Texas Hold’em Tournament has been listed at UMichiganPoker.com free of charge because we are a not for profit organization. The link is listed here if you would like to check it out. http://www.umichiganpoker.com/localpoker/get_tourneys.php?county=Berrien
- I really need dealer volunteers for the Texas Hold’em. Please let me know if you would like to volunteer, or know someone who would be willing to volunteer for a day. No Experience Necessary, we will be trained prior to the event so we know what we are doing!
- I am planning a networking night for February’s General membership meeting. Make a date with a builder will be like speed dating, with a builder. Associate members will get 5 minutes with each builder who has volunteered to be present for the event. At the end of each 5 minutes, associate members will move to the next builder. You have 5 minutes to make a great impression, and potential new business contacts! A couple of the other Michigan HBA’s host a similar event and have received great feedback from their members. Make the most of your membership and participate!
