Happy New Year from the SWMHBA!!

Happy Friday!  I hope you all took some time to enjoy yourselves on Christmas.   I was on the radio this week with Brenda Layne to talk about our Texas Hold’em Tournament and the Harley Raffle.  I thought I did rather well considering I had never done anything like that before.  However, my 14 year old daughter called me afterwards and informed me that I needed to work on my public speaking skills.  So, that is going to be my New Year’s Resolution!  I am going to work on my public speaking skills.  I have no doubt the Home Builders Association will help me with that nerve racking task!

• I have added a blog to our web site.  The address is http://blog.swmhba.com  I will post the builders bulletin info there along with announcements and comments from the board of directors.  This blog will also be available for member’s announcements.  Let me know what you’d like posted, and I will get it announced for you.
• For those associate members who will be attending the IBS in Florida there will be an Associates Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 8 – 10 AM at the Peabody Hotel Orlando.  Business attire please, tickets are $50 per person in advance or $55 at the door.  Send me an email or give me a call and I will give you more information and fax the form to you.
• The SWMHBA office will be closed on Monday, December 31^st and Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in observance of New Year’s.
